QBE Colonial Insurance Company

A proposal made up of the articulation of two main volumes that consolidate a contained public plaza, as a contribution to the beautification and ornament of the city. The extension of these volumes toward their ends sensorially creates a welcoming embrace for users and visitors because of their spatial configuration.

The bodies develop through the contrast of a double skin: a light one of glass resting on stone, and a solid one of blind walls resting on water elements. The large glazed surface becomes an urban backdrop curtain, reflecting the city and the Andean skyline with the iconic Pichincha volcano as its protagonist.
